Q: What is your photography style?
A: My style varies from artistic and whimsical, to soft and romantic. I calibrate based on your personality, your wedding, and the personality of your venue. I capture real moments as they happen candidly, rather than relying on a lot of posing. Of course, portraits usually call for a bit of a creative posing, but always done as naturally as possible.

Q: What’s your shooting style?
A: I’m can either disappear into the background or interact and join in the fun with my clients. Better photos happen when people are relaxing having a great time in front of the camera.

Q: What equipment do you use?
A: I shoot digital using a Canon 5D Mark III, Canon 5D Mark II and a wide variety of lenses.

Q: Do you charge for travel?
A: If your wedding location is within two hours of San Jose, there is no charge for travel. If more than two hours away, then I charge basic travel expenses (gas or airfare) and accommodations for myself and my assistant.

Q: How much time do you need on the day of, to properly capture the wedding?
A: This is a tough question since it varies with the location and size of your wedding. Family, bridal party photos and portraits (you and your fiancé) usually call for at least 90 minutes total; 30 mins for family, 30 mins for bridal party, and 30 mins for the couple. Of course, the more time, the better, especially for portraits. Large families and bridal parties can obviously be more time consuming. Let’s discuss!

Q: Do you scout locations ahead of time?
A: I arrive early on the day of the event to check out the location, especially if I haven’t shot there before.

Q: How do you handle clients who are either anxious or have never been professionally photographed?
A: Part of my job is to help you relax and enjoy the time. Most clients start out a bit nervous and end up having a great time.

Q: How do we book?
A: First, contact me to check the availability of the date. Next, we’ll schedule a phone call or an in-person meeting to discuss the details and basic timeline of the event. Finally if it’s a good fit, I’ll send you a contract to fill out, sign and send back along with a retainer of 30% of the total to book the date. The remaining balance is due 2 weeks before the wedding date.
